Recipe # 1

Mini Burgers(a.k.a. "Shooters"):
Ok, we have all had these at some point or another. I like to do these at home for dinner, first and foremost because they cook faster(even though serving sizes are more). But also because if you have a George Forman grill it is quick and clean up easy. If you have small kids they can hold these in their hand easier.
Here is the recipe we use( we eat this about once a week):
  • Frozen preformed mini burger patti's from walmart( yes I know, the beef content of these is questionable). There are 24 patti's
  • Cheese slices- I like swiss or munster. These slices will be cut in half.
  • Dinner roles(the square ones made by "sunbeam bakery", they work best and there are 24 rolls in their package).***Think Whitecastle burgers
  • Webster Gourmet Burger seasoning
Now, thaw your patti's sprinkle them with the gourmet seasoning on one side(can be a little peppery for the kids). Cook your patties on the grill( Forman or outside grill) and when you take them off place them on a cookie sheet with the half cheese slice folded over, to double it, on the cooked patti. After all patti's are cooked and cheese slices placed on them, place cookie sheet in the broiler long enough to melt the cheese. * If you desire you could buy pre-cooked bacon and place them on the cheese patti as well. Then, just cut your dinner roles and assemble the burgers.
- Yields 24 burgers.
